Changelog

Dated studio notes are distinct from package releases and current setup requirements.

Metrics, streaks, and a month calendar

Daylog grew from a plain journal into a full daily-tracking surface.

    • Month calendar marking dates with entries and linking to each day’s editor.
    • Habit streaks — streak check-in history, with delete; check-in tracking.
    • Metrics — energy/focus metrics with charts and a metric-notes field.
    • Search & entries-history routes, a per-date editor with rehydrate + tag editor + delete, and tag browsing.
Daylog calendar showing a month grid with date navigation and a marked day
The month calendar lets you open a date's entry.
Daylog habit cards with current and best streak counts, Check in buttons and View history links
Habit cards show current and best runs; history opens from each card.

    Current source-run flow · 2026-09-25

These newer paired stills are cropped from the actual local Daylog web app at source f092e08, using a disposable SQLite database and fictional entry and habit. They show a later interface state, not the June milestone: the optional writing prompt is visible as a suggestion, while the saved entry contains separately entered words. The September 25 calendar mark reopened that entry, and the fictional habit was checked in once.

Actual Daylog entry editor with fictional saved title and note, mood, energy and focus ratings, and an optional writing prompt
Current entry editor with fictional data. The prompt is a suggestion, not saved entry text.
Actual Daylog September 2026 month calendar with a mark on the fictional saved entry date
The September 25 mark opened the saved fictional entry in this local run.
Actual Daylog streak card for a fictional Write a line habit after one check-in, showing one current and one best day
One observed check-in for a fictional habit; this does not show a longer streak.
Real local browser frames in both themes, edited into five-second silent sequences. Time between actions is compressed; these are not uninterrupted real-time recordings or finished narrated films.
Diagnostic Daylog poster made from actual fictional entry, calendar and one-streak app captures, with a visible Budapest date-arrow bug warning
A diagnostic source-run cover study made from these app captures. It labels fictional data and the known date-arrow defect; final release art is still open.

The entry’s Previous/Next links still have a Budapest date offset: on September 25, Previous points to September 23 and Next points back to September 25. The calendar’s direct route worked; adjacent-day navigation is not demonstrated here. The current-flow media is from a local fictional fixture, not a hosted multi-user app. Licensed Cartesia narration, paired Remotion release films, timed captions, a final exceptional poster, and the date-navigation fix remain open.

    Foundation

The first cut of Daylog: a calm, private daily journal with entries, metrics, streaks, search, and pagination, backed by API integration tests. The package was renamed from proomptal-daylog to aylith-daylog.
